Having taken my personal website through multiple revisions and approaches, I finally realised it was time to have a clear distinction between the type of content on a personal portfolio website and a journal.
For the last five years, I've been attempting to update the blog element of my personal website with appropriate - and interesting - content. However, this was not always the case and I struggled to continually write insightful posts from personal experiences and opinions.
At the same time, I attempted to maintain the "professional" content on the website about all the projects I have worked on or contributed towards, both online and offline.
When I decided to split my DJ personality off to a dedicated website, this was the first attempt at giving my personal website some focus and clear direction.
Now is the time to remove the "personal" edge of said website too.
From here on in, I'll be using Posterous for all my little quibbles, which also means I'll have to find the time to realign my portfolio site to match (and archive all those blog posts from the years).
